About Bragg

Named after joint Nobel Prize recipients, Sir William Bragg and his son Sir Lawrence Bragg, the seat has been held by Liberal Members since it’s creation in 1970.

The Bragg electorate currently includes the following suburbs:

Beaumont, Burnside, Dulwich, Erindale, Glen Osmond, Glenside, Hazelwood Park, Heathpool, Kensington, Leabrook, Leawood Gardens, Linden Park, Marryatville, Mount Osmond, Rose Park, Skye, St Georges, Stonyfell, Toorak Gardens, Tusmore, Waterfall Gully, Wattle Park

Electoral Commission boundary changes for the 2010 State Election will see some of these suburbs become part of the Norwood and Unley electorates, and areas of the Adelaide hills including Uraidla and Summertown become part of Bragg.

Former Premier David Tonkin (1970-83), former Deputy Premier Graham Ingerson (1983-02), and current Deputy Leader of the Opposition Vickie Chapman (2002-) have represented local constituents in the South Australian Parliament.

Local residents are encouraged to contact the electorate office with any queries or issues they would like addressed.
